Thai Beef Salad
Mood:  energetic
A hearty salad of beef, laced with a chili and lime dressing.

Ingredients Read More...
Serves 4

2x8 ounce sirloin steaks
1 red onion, finely sliced
1/2 cucumber, finely sliced into matchsticks
1 lemongrass stalk, finely chopped juice of 2 limes
1-2 tablespoons fish sauce
2-4 red chilies, finely sliced, to garnish
fresh cilantro, Chinese mustard cress and mint or basil leaves to garnish.

Steps to make
1) Pan-fry or boil the beef steaks to medium-rare. Allow to rest for 10-15 minutes. [I prefer to pan-fry].

2) When cool, thinly slice the beef and put the slices in a large bowl.

3) Add the sliced onion, cucumber and lemongrass.

4) Add the scallions. Toss and season with lime juice and fish sauce. Serve at room temperature or chilled, garmished with the chilies, cilantro, Chinese mustard cress and mint or basil.

If you don't have the cilantro or Chinese mustard cress, it's okay.

Egg Fried Noodles
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: Asian aromatic dishes
Here's a recipe I found in my cook book. I would like to share it with you all. This is especially for those who loves noodles. I hope you enjoy and have fun cooking. It's fun, quick and easy! Here's an exact copy from my cook book.

Egg Fried Noodles

Yellow bean sauce gives these noodles a savory flavor.

Ingredients

12 ounces medium-thick egg noodles
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 scallions, cut into 1/2 inch rounds
Juice of 1 lime
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breast, sliced
6 ounces raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 ounces squid, cleaned and cut into rings
1 tablespoon yellow bean sauce
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 eggs
Cilantro leaves to garnish

Now here's the steps to make it - steps 1 to 5.

1) Cook the noodles in a saucepan of boiling water until just tender, then drain well. Set Aside.

2) Heat half the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the scallions, stirfry for 2 minutes, then add the noodles, limes juice and soy sauce. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, and keep warm.

3) Heat the remaining oil in the wok or pan. Add the garlic, chicken, shrimp and squid. Stir-fry over a high heat until cooked.

4) Stir in the yellow bean paste, fish sauce and sugar, then break the eggs into the mixture, stirring gently until they set.

5) Add the noodles, toss lightly to mix, and the heat through. Serve garmished with cilantro leaves.

Wow, so you are ready to eat! Remember, if you don't have the same exact ingredients just try your best making it taste good. That's all it matters. Good luck and have fun (:P)

Gothika
Mood:  a-ok
I give this movie 2 stars. The movie wasn't that scary. The ghost scenes were pretty weak. But I jumped like on one scene. I actually watched it alone in the living room. My friend left me all alone since he had to work in the morning.

The plot was good. It's based on about women who were getting raped in the mental institution or was it in prison. The movie actually made me think that the serial killer is one of her friend who worked with her, when it's not him. The special effects seems to be the same as the 13th Ghost movie. But of course the 13th Ghost is much scarier and it gives me the chills.

Even though Gothika is not so scary, I couldn't even fall asleep last night. I was afraid of the dark and I kept myself under the covers even though it was so freakin hot. Everytime I closed my eyes I would see horror faces and that freaks me out. I know I'm weird. I love horror flicks but they keep me awake.. very strange huh.

Kill Bill Vol. 2
Mood:  don't ask

1 1/2 stars

Part 2 was a disappointment. There was alot of talking and dragging scenes that were just too boring for me!!. The ending was very predictable. I thought the best thing in this movie was the fight scene with Elle. However, I felt sad at the end for Bill & Black Mamba..oh well. You'll see what I'm saying.

I liked part 1 way better. Vol. 2 to me sucks!!

Mean Girls (chick flick)
I know I wasn't going to any theatre this whole week so my brother downloaded 2 movies from the internet. We watched Mean Girls and I would say it's a good teenage movie. I'll give it 2 out of 3 stars. It's about popularity and self-esteem. A girl who has never been to a public school because she was taught home school in Africa. She came off as one of the good girls and then turned out to be one of the meaniest girl ever.

There were a few scenes that showed she had no friends and sometime she would eat in the bathroom. I could see this happening in reality. That part reminded of me because I once use to hang in the girl's bathroom. I didn't have any friends to play with during recess time (this happened at a Khmer elementary school though). I use to do it alot too. Sometimes, I would just wait until recess is over so I can just go straight to class. But of course it changes and I had some friends there.

I like Lindsay Lohan. She's a cool 17 year old girl. She doesn't look her age though. She has big jugs & it's natural people. All these teens are looking hot these days.

I also think that the boy who plays as Harry Potter will be hot as hell when he gets older.

Van Helsing & Anna Nicole Smith
On Friday, I went to watch Van Helsing. It was a great movie, but not super, super great. I would give it 2 stars out of 3. I guess, I expected it to be more of hard core action, vicious I would say. I think the box office was 14 million, not sure. The special effects were great. There were certain scenes that were kind of dragging. But I like the overall plot. I most definitely like my man Hugh Jackman. I am so crazy for him! That's the only reason I would watch this movie, and yeah I do like horror flicks.

However, my friend Anjie almost fell asleep watching the movie..haha. Her view is "alright" not as intriguing I guess.

But anyway, I am all for Jackman!!! I guess I am obsessed with him. I bought part 1 & 2 of the x-mens dvds just b/c he's in it. I like it when he shows his hott body, I mean God I wish I meet someone like him.
I am a big fan =)

Moving along to Anna Nicole Smith. She is now one sexy chica! She looks great. It seems like she never had gain weight before. The media didn't mention she had a liposauction anything like that, but I think she did.

I would think she had to get rid of all the fat first before she goes on that Trimspa diet. I saw her on TV a couple of days ago and she looked real good. She and Pamela Anderson looks so similar now. But Anna's huge breast looks more natural than Pamela. I guess, Pamela had done too many surgeries on her melons that made them looked weird & so fake.

Paris Hilton & The Swan
So, I guess Paris Hilton decided to bring out her sex video out on dvd. From what I've heard her sex scenes were boring! She was banged on the back and she sucked that long as cock of her ex-boyfriend. He talked mad dirty to her, well I don't know what he said, but I guess it was a turn on for her.

I actually want to see how boring it is. Yes, there you go, I don't mind watching celebrity porn..haha. Anyway, "The Simple Life" is playing again this summer so I am looking forward to watch her show again. It's hilarious to see how stupid and bitchy they are. Well, don't get me wrong here, I do think Paris Hilton is pretty, but she has some weird ass poses!

Coming along to the Swan. I Knew that Beth (one of the contestant) was going to come out beautiful. Her orginial looks did not look so bad. She had a few flaws, but it was easily removed or replaced. Her height was tall enough to compete and she already had a thin body. All she needed to do was a tummy tuck, work out and stay physcially fit. So when they say it's "A Big" change for Beth. I didn't think it was a big transformation. She was already good looking from the start. She could have gone for "extreme make-over."

Is it attraction?
There's this guy in my school who I bump into time to time. He's very attractive. I think he's half Asian/white or something. Anyway, we came off on a wrong way. The thing is he smiled & said something to me one time, and I totally blew him off by not smiling back to him. Gosh! I should have though. I'm such a spaz sometimes.

I think that day I wasn't feeling very well, I totally didn't feel like introducing myself or talking to anyone. So now it's like we see eachother, look at eachother and don't even say a word! He must think I'm a stuck up fool.

His description is: 5' 6" inches I think. He has black hair, maybe dark brown eyes. He looks around his late 20s. He looks like he's atheletic and not too buff.

Right now we're both in the computer lab. I'm so checking him out without him realizing it..haha. He has a pimple on his nose though...you can really spot that thing...lol.

Well if we talk, we'll talk, if not then oh well :)

Smallville
I watched my favorite show today and Cloey had powers that can let people tell the truth about their personal issues or any secrets. It's amazing but also scary.

If I had that kind of super powers, I'll asked the dirt from everyone..haha. What people really think of me? Well, I'm a nice sweetheart.....alright. Am I being too sappy here? nope not at all.

I came across one of the member's blog and she was writing about love and what love is all about? To me, Love is something that I don't think I ever experience. Well yeah, I did have that "puppy love" when I was young, but that doesn't count anyway it is just something I learned from and there are lots of fishies waiting for me...haha, maybe not!

So what is Love? I have no clue, not even a shred. All I know is that when I like someone real bad, I'll prefer it as strong emotion...silly me so corny! If you're ever in love I guess you'll know it.
